Getting to Dresden / Local public transport

Flight connections

Dresden International Airport in Dresden-Klotzsche, 9 km from the city centre.

Getting to the airport:

  • By car/bus, direct Autobahn access:
    A4 (Chemnitz/Dresden/Görlitz)
    A13 (Berlin/Dresden)
    A17 (Czech Republic/Dresden) Autobahn exit: Dresden Flughafen
    as well as via the B97 motorway
  • By S-Bahn regional train: departs every 30 minutes (approx. 20 mins to the inner city). Stops at stations: Mitte (city centre), Neustadt, Industriegelände, Klotzsche, Grenzstraße.

Getting around Dresden

During the day, 12 tram lines and 28 bus lines operate (every 10 mins) throughout the city of Dresden making all of the city’s sights and places of interest within fast and easy reach.
