Sales Guide 2010/2011
Dresden, the capital of the Free State of Saxony, is known the world over as a city of art and culture. And the reconstruction of the Frauenkirche, whose majestic stone dome was restored to the famous historical skyline not least thanks to worldwide donations, placed Dresden in the international spotlight once more. But there are also many other aspects of the city waiting to be discovered.
In 2010, the Dresden State Art Collections, in particular, are set to dominate the news. A veritable string of highlights will include the unveiling of the so-called “Turkish Chamber” in the Royal Palace, the reopening of the Albertinum as a House of Modern Art, and two spectacular special exhibitions marking the 300th anniversary of the founding of Europe's first porcelain manufactory and 450 years of art collection in Dresden.
Dresden Marketing GmbH thanks you for your interest in the Dresden Sales Guide, which provides a comprehensive range of tourist information about the city and its surroundings. You will find a calendar of events with the highlights for 2010/2011, as well as suggestions for activities during your visit and a list of competent partners to assist you in the planning and organisation of a memorable stay in Dresden.
The Dresden Sales Guide 2010/2011 is also available as a printed brochure.
