Robert Sterl House

Born in Saxony, the painter Robert Sterl is one of the most important exponents of German Impressionism. His house and studio have since been converted into a museum.

Stolpen Castle

This medieval castle is built on a natural outcrop of rock known as the Stolpener Basalt. It is inextricably linked in the public mind with the tragic fate of Countess Cosel who was incarcerated here for 49 years.
